The Good Taste Guides

About Us

The Good Taste Guides were set up to fill a gap in food reporting. They are consumer-driven products, focusing on giving readers accurate, unbiased information about good places to eat. Research indicated many guides rely on advertising from the very establishments they include, making them more use for publicising a restaurant than helping a customer find somewhere of a certain quality.

The Guides are the product of professional journalists and food experts rather than the opinion of lots of people who like eating (as with survey devised guides), or of restaurant owners and public relations teams masquerading as public opinion (as with some ‘consumer’ websites).

While we welcome suggestions for good places we can try for future editions, anything we write is based on our own research.
